ATP fluorescence detection for the cleaning effect of vacuum ultrasonic cleaner
Objective:To observe the cleaning effect of vacuum ultrasonic cleaner by adenosine triphosphate(ATP)fluorescence detection. Methods:According to random number table method,80 sets of laparoscopic instruments recycled from disinfection supply center of the hospital were divided into control group(manual+ultrasonic cleaning)and observation group(cleaning with vacuum ultrasonic cleaner),40 sets in each group. The cleaning effect in the two groups was compared by visual inspection of magnifying glass and ATP fluorescence detection. Results:The visual inspection method showed that difference in qualification rate of cleaning between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Under ATP fluorescence detection, qualification rate of cleaning in observation group was higher than that in control group(97.50%vs 77.50%),total cleaning duration was shorter than that in control group, and total loss rate of instruments was lower than that in control group(1.00%vs 2.95%,P<0.05).Conclusion:Vacuum ultrasonic cleaner can improve cleaning effect in laparoscopic instruments, with easy application.
