Test on Grinding Medium Optimization of Large Ball Mill in Xiaomiaoling Concentrator
In order to improve the grinding effect of ball mill and obtain qualified particle size of grind-ing products,aiming at the problems of coarse particle size of grinding products and high unit consumption of steel balls after the transformation and optimization of grinding system in Xiaomiaoling concentrator,field application tests were carried out with different grinding media as the research object to investigate the grind-ing effect of different grinding media.The test results show that the wear resistance of high chromium steel ball is better than that of forged steel ball.After the application of high chromium steel ball,the fluctuation range of product particle size is smaller,the fineness is stable,and the ore dissociation degree is high.By us-ing high chromium steel ball instead of forging steel ball,the average ball consumption of grinding is re-duced from 0.601 kg/t to 0.511 kg/t,and the cost of steel ball can be saved by 1.38432 million yuan per year.The steel ball is gradually replaced,and the one-time investment is small,which does not affect the normal production.The research results can provide reference for other enterprises to reduce costs and increase effi-ciency and improve economic benefits.
