Feasibility Study on Iron-carbon Separation and Zinc Selection from Low Zinc Blast Furnace Ash
In order to improve the comprehensive utilization rate of a low zinc blast furnace ash in Tangshan and achieve the requirements of zinc powder into the kiln zinc grade of about 6%,the cyclone classification separation + spiral separator separation test was carried out.The results show that:①The blast furnace ash with zinc grade of 1.75%was separated by one roughing one cleaning two-stage cyclone separa-tion.Finally,zinc powder with zinc grade of 5.96%and 6.27%,zinc recovery of 47.10%and 44.21%were obtained.②For the underflow of the two-stage cyclone with yield of about 15%,the spiral separator is used to separate iron and carbon. The iron grades of the inner ring products of the spiral separator are 47.76%and 48.98%,respectively,which can be used as low-grade iron products or incorporated into the underflow 1 to carry out subsequent iron separation tests. The iron grade of the middle ring and outer ring products of the spiral separator is about 34%,and the heat value is about 2 500 cal/kg.The iron grade and heat are not high, and the particle size is fine and the treatment is difficult. There is no significance of reprocessing or as a separate product. The study determined the ideal zinc recovery process, which can be used as the basis for development and utilization.
