Stability Analysis of a Building Slope under Typhoon and Rainstorm
Due to its unique geographical and climatic conditions,Fujian Province often encounters typhoons and rainstorms, resulting in frequent landslide disasters.Based on the strength reduction theory,FLAC3D software is used to analyze the stability of a building slope affected by Typhoon Haikui in September 2023 in Longyan City,Fujian Province. The results show that the safety factor of slope is 1.676 under the condition of self-weight,which is stable. After the typhoon rainstorm, the safety factor dropped to 1.230,below the norm value, indicating the risk of instability and damage.Landslide risk increases significantly during typhoon season. The plastic through failure area of slope section is about 5.0 m2,and the error is 11.1% of compared with the actual landslide area, which provides an important reference for slope stability assessment under extreme weather conditions.
