Study on Process Mineralogy of Luobusha Low-grade Chromite Ore
In order to find out the ore properties of Luobusha low-grade chromite in Tibet, chemical analysis, optical microscope identification, scanning electron microscope analysis,EDS micro-area compo-sition analysis and other rock and mineral testing methods were used to study the chemical composition, mineral composition, mineral dissemination characteristics, process particle size of main minerals and oc-currence state of chromium elements of ore samples in detail. The results show that the content of Cr2O3 is 18.50%,and the contents of harmful components MgO and SiO2 are 35.32%and 26.55%respectively.The main chromium-containing minerals are aluminum-iron-magnesium chromite. The gangue minerals are mainly chromium-containing silicate minerals olivine and serpentine, and a small amount of chlorite,pyrox-ene,calcite and ankerite,as well as trace amounts of potassium feldspar and pyrite. The grain size of chro-mite is uneven, and it is usually closely associated with olivine, serpentine and chlorite. Some fine chromite is wrapped by olivine, which is not easy to dissociate.Chromium mainly occurs in chromite, and a small amount occurs in olivine, serpentine and chlorite. The average chromium content of chromite single mineral is 39.17%,the average chromium content of olivine and serpentine single mineral is 0.44%,and the aver-age chromium content of chlorite single mineral is 1.15%.
