Experimental Study on Beneficiation of a High Phosphorus Oolitic Iron Ore Abroad
The main iron minerals of a high-phosphorus oolitic iron ore abroad are magnetite and he-matite-limonite.The harmful impurity sulfur content is low,and the associated impurities silicon,alumi-num and phosphorus content are high.In order to reduce the content of phosphate minerals in the high-phos-phorus oolitic iron ore and throw out some tailings with high phosphorus content in advance,a multi-grade dry pre-selection test was carried out to explore the feasibility of pre-selection and discarding waste. At the same time,a stage grinding fineness test was carried out on the grinding process. The process of stage grind-ing-low intensity magnetic separation of raw ore was determined by test. Finally, the iron concentrate with yield of 47.42%,iron grade of 64.45%,phosphorus grade of 0.501%and iron recovery of 53.19%was ob-tained,which effectively reduced the phosphorus content in the iron concentrate and provided a reference for the rational development and utilization of the iron ore resources.
