Study on Optimization of Rough Grinding Index of Tower Mill in an Iron Mine of Hebei
In order to reduce the grinding energy consumption of tower mill in an iron mine of Hebei Province,the influence of grinding operation parameters of tower mill on grinding index was studied by taking the pre-concentrate crushed by high pressure roller mill as the research object.The results show that the optimized operating parameters are as follows:grinding time 240 s,screw stirrer speed 320 r/min,me-dium filling rate 20.77%,grinding concentration 65%,material-ball ratio 0.15,medium ratio(mass ratio ofϕ8 mm steel ball)100%.Under the optimal parameters,the grinding indexes of the mill with utilization co-efficient of -0.074 mm of 0.916 t/(m3∙h)and grinding energy consumption of 42.82(kW∙h)/t were obtained.After optimization,the mill-0.074 mm utilization coefficient is increased by 1.55%,and the grinding ener-gy consumption is reduced by 11.58%.The results of this study can provide a useful reference for the reduc-tion of grinding energy consumption and the selection of grinding operation parameters of tower mill.
