Study on Process Mineralogy and Separation Process of a Copper Sulfide Ore in Guangdong
In order to improve the resource utilization rate of copper and associated sulfur and iron in a low-grade copper sulfide polymetallic ore in Guangdong,a systematic process mineralogy study is carried out by means of chemical multi-element analysis and mineral automatic analyzer. The results show that the contents of Cu,S and Fe in the ore are 0.50%,27.68%and 34.07%,respectively.Chalcopyrite is the main occurrence mineral of copper, and other copper-bearing minerals include covellite, chalcocite, etc.Aiming at the problems of difficult separation of copper and sulfur,a process of semi-autogenous grinding-ball mill-ing-copper flotation-pyrrhotite magnetic separation-sulfur flotation is proposed.Indexesof copper concen-trate with copper grade of 16%and recovery of 70%,the sulfur grade of pyrrhotite concentrateafter magnetic separation is 30%,the recovery rate is 36%,and the sulfur grade of sulfur concentrate is 40%,the recovery rate is 45%can be obtained.Good separation effect of copper and sulfur is obtained.
