Analysis of Hydrogeological and Brine Potassium Salt Deposit Characteristics in Yahu Area
Yahu area is located between the East Taijinaier Lake and the West Taijinaier Lake in the central and western Qaidam Basin. In the past, the salt prospecting geological work was mainly aimed at the shallow part of the western basin, and the exploration degree of the brine potassium salt deposit in this area was low.In order to further understand the hydrogeology of the Yahu area and the geological characteristics of the brine potassium salt deposit, the relevant geological exploration data are collected and analyzed, and the metallogenic characteristics of the potassium salt deposits in the western part of the basin are compared. The results show that the environment of potash deposits in Yahu area is similar to that in Dalangtan area in the west of the basin, and the formation, migration and enrichment characteristics of brine potash deposits are similar. The fault structure in the area has a certain recharge effect on the potassium salt brine,so it has great potential to find minerals such as brine potassium salt in the coarse-grained sedimentary layer and the fault development area. The research provides theoretical guidance for later exploration work.
