Experimental Study on Ultra-fine Grinding Magnetic Separation Process of a Refractory Amphibole Primary Ore
A low-grade amphibole-type primary ore has the characteristics of low proportion of mag-netic iron, very fine dissemination size and high content of iron silicate, which leads to large beneficiation ratio, high cost and difficulty in improving concentrate grade. In order to develop and utilize this type of iron ore efficiently, based on the study of process mineralogy,a detailed experimental study on grinding magnet-ic separation conditions is carried out.The test results show that the iron concentrate with yield of 21.98%,TFe grade of 65.45%and iron recovery of 49.91%is obtained by using the process of fine crushing-dry tail-ings discarding-roller mill ultra-fine crushing-wet pre-concentration-rough concentrate four stage grind-ing-four stage low intensity magnetic separation-elutriation magnetic separation, which provides a technical basis for the development and utilization of the amphibole magnetite resources.
