Comprehensive Recovery Process Test of a High Silicon Coarse Iron Tailings
In order to efficiently recover and utilize the valuable minerals in a coarse iron tailings,a comprehensive recovery process test is carried out on the basis of the study of ore properties. The test results show that the combined process of mud sand classification-medium magnetic iron separation-grinding and cleaning-high intensity magnetic impurity removal-flotation refining-acid leaching purification-sand wash-ing classification can produce iron concentrate with TFe grade of 61.25%and TFe recovery rate of 57.69%,coarse-grained quartz sand concentrate for high-quality glass with SiO2 content of 99.72%and Fe2O3 con-tent of 0.039%,fine-grained quartz sand for chemical industry with SiO2 content of 98.97%and Fe2O3 con-tent of 0.127%,cement or aerated brick with SiO2 content of 74.31%and TFe grade of 27.71%.It provides a scientific and reasonable technical basis for the comprehensive recovery and utilization of this type of iron tailings.
