Study on Process Mineralogy of an Iron Ore from Hubei Province
In order to provide a reference for the determination of the separation process of an iron ore in Hubei Province, the process mineralogy of chemical multi-elements,mineral composition, main mineral embedding characteristics and element occurrence state were studied. The results show that the TFe content of the ore is 22.46%,and the element Fe is mainly present in magnetite, with a distribution rate of 82.27%.The magnetite in the ore is often semi-automorphic granular and intergrown with gangue minerals. The parti-cle size of magnetite is uneven. The distribution rate of+0.07 mm particle size is 50.51%,and the distribu-tion rate of-0.01 mm particle size is 6.36%.The fine-grained magnetite is difficult to dissociate and will en-ter the concentrate in the form of intergrowth. The main gangue mineral gypsum is often produced in a plate shape, and is symbiotically embedded with granular magnetite and other gangue minerals.
