Metallogenic Regularity and Prospecting Criteria of Dadutian-Yichang Copper Deposit in Jinggu,Southern Yunnan
The Jinggu Dadutian-Yichang copper deposit is located in the Simao sag basin of the Sanji-ang orogenic system. The mineralization of the deposit is closely related to tectonic-magma activity.Through the study of ore-forming geological characteristics and ore-controlling factors,it is considered that the cop-per ore(mineralization)bodies are all hosted in the strata dominated by volcanic sedimentary rocks, clastic rocks and lavas of the Middle Triassic. The mineralization is particularly enriched in the ancient crater or volcanic eruption center, and the deposit is strictly controlled by the volcanic mechanism. The deposit is ob-viously controlled by strata and lithology. The multi-layer of copper mineralization is consistent with the pe-riodicity of volcanic activity. The ore body is mainly produced in the middle of the Triassic Songjiapo Forma-tion.Alteration is obvious in the lithology of ore-bearing strata, and alteration such as carbonation,silicifica-tion,epidotization and chloritization is closely related to mineralization. The deposit is a volcanic hydrother-mal superimposed copper polymetallic deposit closely related to volcanic activity. The stratigraphic position, lithology, oxide outcrop and wall rock alteration are favorable prospecting criteria.
