Analysis of Ore-controlling Structural Characteristics and Resource Potential of Copper-gold Deposits in Chuzhou Area
Chuzhou area spans Tongbai-Dabie-Sulu and two metallogenic belts in the middle and low-er reaches of the Yangtze River, and is an important copper and gold metallogenic area.Through field investi-gation and ore-controlling analysis of typical deposits, the characteristics of main fault structures such as Tanlu deep fault zone,Huangdu fault and Guanma fault and the characteristics of rock-controlling and ore-controlling structures in the area are clarified. The Tanlu deep fault zone and the Huangpo fault are the first-order rock-controlling and ore-controlling faults in the area, which control the NNE-trending and NE-trending tectonic-magma-mineralization,respectively.The secondary structure, interlayer fracture zone, fold extension part and fault intersection part of the first-order fault are important ore-bearing structures. The practice of production mines shows that the prospecting potential of porphyry-skarn type copper-gold deposit and quartz vein-structural altered rock type gold deposit is great in the deep and edge of the existing mines, which is the key exploration and development and utilization target of the next geological prospecting work in this area.
