Research on Process Mineralogy of a Silver Copper Tin Coarse Concentrate from Gravity Separation in Tajikistan
The copper and tin in a silver-bearing copper-tin rougher concentrate from Tajikistan are difficult to separate. To clarify the composition and distribution characteristics of the copper-tin rougher con-centrate,providing a basis for the selection of mineral processing technology,an automatic mineral analysis system(AMICS)is used to study the mineral composition, main mineral particle size, symbiotic situation of minerals, and the liberation condition of mineral monomers in the silver-bearing copper-tin ore rougher concentrate. The analysis of the separation effect is also conducted. The results show that the main valuable minerals in the rougher concentrate are malachite, stannite, cassiterite, and mushistonite. The particle sizes of the valuable minerals in the rougher concentrate are uneven, and there are many intergrowths with an ex-tremely complex symbiotic intergrowth relationship. The accompanying valuable mineral components in-clude acanthite,native-silver,barite,scheelite,which can be considered for comprehensive recycling and utilization.Based on the AMICS analysis results of the rougher concentrate,a combined process of gravity separation and flotation can be adopted.
