Experimental Study on Preparation of Ultra Pure Iron Concentrate from a Low-grade Magnetite Ore in Hebei Province
In order to explore the feasibility of preparing ultra-pure iron concentrate from a low-grade magnetite ore in Hebei Province, based on the traditional process mineralogy research methods, combined with chemical analysis, scanning electron microscopy and other means, the chemical composition, mineral composition and magnetite dissemination characteristics of the ore were systematically studied. The average iron content of magnetite in ore is 71.82%.The experimental study was carried out by magnetic-flotation combined process.Under the condition of the first grinding fineness of-0.074 mm 55%and the second grinding fineness of P80=25 μm,the low intensity magnetic concentrate with TFe grade of 70.18%can be ob-tained by stage grinding-stage low intensity magnetic separation process. After third stage grinding(P80=21μm)on low-intensity magnetic concentrate, the amine collector CYA-20 and the starch inhibitor CYZ were used as the separation reagents, and the closed-circuit reverse flotation process of one roughing, two cleaning was used to obtain the separation index of ultra-pure iron concentrate with TFe grade of 71.64%and recovery of 62.56%,and ordinary iron concentrate with TFe grade of 66.13%and recovery of 22.48%.The research results provide a basis for the high value-added utilization of the magnetite ore.
