Numerical Simulation of Groundwater Flow Prediction in Open-pit Mine Based on GMS-MODFLOW
The distribution of groundwater in an open-pit mine area is mainly dominated by geological structures such as rock mass faults and fissures. The mining process will have an impact on slope stability and drainage in the mine.In order to predict the groundwater volume and mine drainage conditions in the mining area, the hydraulic conductivity coefficient of rock slope rock mass is analyzed by multi-stage pack-er water pressure test and variable head water pressure test.On the basis of constructing the hydrogeological conceptual model of the mining area, the three-dimensional finite difference numerical model of the rock mass in the mining area is established by using the GMS software MODFLOW module. The dynamic changes of groundwater flow under steady-state and transient conditions in the unsaturated-saturated seepage model are studied. The process of groundwater level rise and the formation and development of saturated zone caused by slope rainfall infiltration are expounded. The distribution of groundwater level in mining area un-der sensitive conditions is analyzed, and different mine drainage management strategies according to mining depth are proposed.
