Study on Impact of Barricading and Diversion Measures on Evolution Process of Dam-break Mud Flow
In order to explore the influence of barricading and diversion measures on the evolution of dam break mud flow, the range of dam break is determined by analyzing the type of dam break, combining numerical simulation and empirical formula. The numerical simulation of dam-break mud flow is carried out by using smooth particle fluid dynamics method, and the evolution law of mud flow in the downstream with-out barricading measures, with barricading and no diversion measures, with barricading and diversion mea-sures is analyzed. The results show that under the condition of without barricading and diversion measures, the dam-break mud flow has an impact on the resident group, the peak velocity is 20 m/s,and the impact range is about 6.5×104 m2.Under the measures of barricading and no diversion, the impact of dam-break mud flow on the resident group is alleviated, the peak velocity is 18 m/s,and the impact range is about 2.5×104 m2.The dam-break under the barricading and diversion measures has no effect on the village residents. The research provides reference for the layout and emergency management of disaster prevention and mitiga-tion projects in the downstream of tailings reservoir.
