Experiment of Crushing,Screening and Dry Presorting System in an Iron Mine
The existing dry pre-separation process of an iron concentrator is to discard the tailings above screen(+30 mm)and under screen(30~0 mm)respectively. However, when the tailings are discard-ed on the above screen,the+30 mm tailings which are used as building materials cannot meet the market de-mand,which needs further processing and shaping. In order to explore the feasibility of full-size(30~0 mm)dry pre-separation and the impact of the process adjustment on subsequent equipment, the crushing screen-ing and dry pre-separation system is selected as the breakthrough point in the experimental study. The ad-justment of the process was explored in multiple dimensions and reasonable suggestions are put forward by combining of process investigation, laboratory test research and industrial test. The results show that the dry pre-separation of 30~0 mm full-size fraction can improve the TFe recovery rate of the rough concentrate in a certain extent. At the same time, the particle size of the tailings can better meet the demand of the building materials market, and the added value of the dry pre-separation tailings is improved. When the tailings above screen discard are canceled,it is necessary to add two existing fine crushing equipment at the same time according to the nature of the ore,and transform and improve the conveying capacity of some belt con-veyors.It is suggested that the concentrator can choose whether to cancel the tailings above screen discard according to the building materials market and production demand.
