Experimental Study on Preparation of Magnesia Flux Oxidized Pellets by Single Vanadium-containing Iron Concentrate Powder
In order to comprehensively develop and utilize the resources of vanadium-containing iron concentrate and help the simultaneous utilization of iron and vanadium in the'blast furnace-converter'process,aiming at the characteristics of high iron content, low silicon and aluminum content and associat-ed vanadium in the iron concentrate of Luohe Mine of Masteel Mining Group of Baowu Group, the feasibili-ty and suitable preparation conditions of magnesia flux oxidized pellets prepared from single vanadium-con-taining iron concentrate are studied. The results show that the magnesia flux pellets with compressive strength of 2 500~3 000 N can be obtained under suitable thermal conditions by adding 4.84%additive to the iron concentrate powder after fine iron powderroller mill pretreatment. The total iron grade is about 63.55%,and the associated V2O5 grade is about 0.32%.The physical properties of the pellets are good, the chemical quality index is good, and the metallurgical properties are good. The products developed in this experiment make up for the shortcomings of domestic magnesia flux pellets, and can provide high-quality iron raw materials and associated vanadium raw materials for the pyrometallurgical vanadium extraction process.
