Analysis of Uranium Enrichment Mechanism of Sandstone-type Uranium Deposits in Langka Area,Southern Margin of Yili Basin
As a new favorable metallogenic area,Langka area lacks research on the enrichment mech-anism of uranium. In this study, the sandstone-type uranium ore in the lower section of the middle Jurassic Xishanyao Formation in Langka area was taken as the research object.Through microscopic observation and analysis, scanning electron microscopy and energy spectrum analysis,on the basis of formulating the spatial distribution relationship of uranium minerals, combined with previous theoretical results, the enrichment mechanism of uranium in this area was analyzed. The following understandings have been obtained:①Oxida-tion-reduction in the transition zone is one of the important ways of uranium enrichment, and the fine-grained euhedral-subhedral pyrite closely coexisting with it is the product of reduction and precipitation in the same period.②The kaolinite formed by hydrolysis has a strong adsorption effect on uranium, and organic matter such as humic acid also has a certain adsorption effect on uranium.③Ti-Fe oxides and their altered products have achieved good'uranium control'effects through adsorption and catalytic reduction. This un-derstanding provides a reference for understanding the metallogenic mechanism of uranium deposits in Lang-ka area, and also has positive significance for guiding uranium prospecting.
