The Characteristics and Genesis of"Source-Transport-Storage-Accumulation"in Nanpo Copper Deposit,Western Yunnan Province
The Nanpo copper deposit, hosted in the sandstone of the Mankuanhe Formation of Upper Cretaceousis the largest copper deposit discovered in the southern margin of Simao Basin,But the research on the source of ore-forming materials and the genesis of the deposit are still weak.Based on the detailed geological work,a focused study on the S,Pb isotopes, trace elements and rare element characteristics of sulfides. The δ34SCDT value of chalcopyrite ranges from-36.8‰ to-7.88‰,which are obviously different from those of other sandstone type copper deposits in the basin, indicating a characteristics of geological biological sulfur. The Pb isotopic ratios of sulfide are206Pb/204Pb=18.570~18.632,207Pb/204Pb=15.253~15.992,208Pb/204Pb=38.340~39.012,reflecting that the Pb mainly come from the upper crust, with a small amount of mantle-derived material mixed in,ore-forming elements such as Cu mainly come from ore-bear-ing surrounding rocks, and the formation of copper deposit is clearly controlled by stratigraphy, lithology and structure, undergoing the process of"source-transport-storage-accumulation"mineralization,it be-longs to the sedimentary weakly reformed sandstone copper deposit.
