Comparison Analysis of Classification and Utilization of Mineral Resources between China Standard and SAMREC Code
Taking the MR layer of Garatau mining area in South Africa as an example,the resource es-timation and classification results of China's mineral resource reserve classification standard and South Afri-ca's SAMREC code are compared.The differences of resources under the two classification systems are ana-lyzed,and the similarities and differences of drvision of mineral resources under Chinese and foreign stan-dards are understood and mastered in order to inspire mining practitioners.The comparative analysis shows that the Chinese standard is basically consistent with the international standard in the definition of core terms,but there are significant differences in the specific delineation of resources,resource confidence and design utilization.In this way,it puts forward suggestions on the relevant norms of China's mineral resourc-es,with a view to logically consistent with the international norms.
