Experimental Study on the Comprehensive Recovery of Low-grade Sulfur from Refractory Molybdenum Tailings in Henan
The sulfide minerals of a refractory molybdenum tailings in Henan are mainly pyrite, with a content of 2.293%and sulfur content of 1.60%.The sulfur element mainly exists in the form of pyrite. In or-der to recover sulfur from tailings, under the condition of grinding fineness of-74 μm accounted for 65%,with copper sulfate as activator, butyl xanthate as collector, and new reagent YZ-4 as fluorine inhibitor,by closed-circuit test of one roughing, two cleaning and two scavenging flotation. The sulfur concentrate with sulfur grade of 48.96%,recovery of 80.75%and impurity fluorine content of 0.02%is obtained. It can pro-vide reference for the recovery of valuable metals from similar molybdenum tailings resources.
