Process Optimization of Single Magnetic Separation Process of Upgrading Product Quality and Reducing Sulfur in Zhongguan Iron Mine
With the mining of Zhongguan Iron Mine,high-sulfur ore appears locally,resulting in low total iron grade and high sulfur content in iron concentrate.In the case of not introducing high-cost sep-aration operations such as flotation which are likely to cause environmental pollution,the feasibility of up-grading product quality and reducing sulfur content by only relying on a single magnetic separation process was investigated.The elutriation machine test was carried out on the full-size material,+0.074 mm size and-0.074 mm size respectively.Only when treating-0.074 mm size,and the fixed magnetic field is 96 kA/m,the circulating magnetic field is 84 kA/m,the compensation magnetic field is 84 kA/m,and the rising water volume is 1 300 L/h,the iron concentrate with total iron grade of 68.02%and sulfur content of 0.25%can be obtained,which can meet the production requirements.According to the laboratory test results,the process transformation is carried out on the site.Finally,the iron concentrate with total iron grade of 66.33%and sulfur content of 0.46%is obtained,and the goal of increasing iron and reducing sulfur is realized.
