Application and Optimization of Single Chamber Van Filter Press in Lead-zinc Concentrator
There are some problems in a lead-zinc concentrator in Guangxi,such as high water con-tent of zinc concentrate after dehydration,difficult transportation of concentrate and troubles of nitric acid.The feasibility of changing into filter press is determined by analyzing the properties of zinc concentrate,de-hydration process and industrial debugging.The conditions of feed frequency,feed pressure and reverse blowing time of filter press are tested,and the debugging results are optimized to determine the reasonable parameters of filter press equipment.The field industrial practice shows that the single chamber van filter press can be used for dewatering of fine-grained zinc concentrate.When the feed pressure of the filter press is 0.60 MPa,the feed frequency is 40 Hz,and the back-blowing time is 300 s,the zinc concentrate filter cake with a moisture content of 9%can be obtained,which meets the requirements of the concentrator for the moisture content of the zinc concentrate filter cake.
