Design of Low Probability of Intercept Radar Waveform Using Jaya Optimization
With the increasingly fierce confrontation between reconnaissance equipment and radar, the radio frequency stealth per-formance of the radar system directly affects the combat capability and survivability of weaponry. The low probability of intercept(LPI)radar technology has gradually become a research hotspot. The use of information theory to design LPI radar waveform in frequency domain is investigated in this paper. The transmit waveforms that minimize the performance of the interception receiver under the premise of satisfying certain radar detection performance are designed using Jaya optimization algorithm.Since the algo-rithm are unconstrained optimization procedures, the penalty function is used to incorporate the constraints into the fitness function. The simulation results show that the approach is not affected by the selection of the initial values, and is equivalent to the optimiza-tion effect of the traditional algorithm with properly selected initial values, which means it has higher universality and stability.
