Estimation of Target Size of Linear UAV Cluster Based on Forward-backward Matrix Beam Method
In this paper,an effective group targets number estimation method for"swarm"unmanned aerial vehicle detection is proposed by using forward-backward matrix beam method.Compared with traditional parameter estimation methods, the proposed method can also accurately estimate sparse signals.First, the radar cross section of a linear array group target is obtained at a cer-tain angle or frequency. Then, the Hankel-Toeplitz matrix is constructed based on the known radar echoes and the matrix is decom-posed by singular value. Finally,by setting a suitable threshold, singular values with a larger proportion are selected to accurately estimate the number of targets in the linear array group. In addition, the impact of different signal-to-noise ratios on the estimation results are also discussed. In order to improve the accuracy, multiple sets of echo signals from different azimuth angles are used to jointly estimate the number of group targets. The simulation results show that the proposed method can estimate effectively and ac-curately estimate the number of targets in a linear array group, and the estimation results of the method are not affected by noise, which have good robustness.
