Objective To explore the effects of HPV semen infection on semen routine param-eters,seminal plasma biochemistry and sperm DNA damage in infertile men.Methods Semen samples were collected 115 patients who were admitted to Wuhan Huake Hospital of Reproductive from May 2023 to December 2023.HPV genotyping was performed by fluorescent PCR method to e-valuate semen infection rate.Semen routine analysis,semen plasma biochemistry,sperm DNA frag-ment index(DFI)and sperm high DNA stainability were performed.The differences of semen quali-ty parameters between infected group and uninfected group were compared.Results Among the 115 semen samples,HPV was detected in 11 cases,with a positive rate of 9.57％.Compared with the HPV negative group,total sperm motility,percentage of forward motile sperm,semen leuko-cyte concentration,total seminal plasma zinc and seminal plasma elastase concentration significantly decreased in the HPV positive group,and sperm DFI increased.Conclusions HPV semen infec-tion may affect sperm motility,semen infection index and sperm DNA integrity.The infection fac-tors should be considered in the diagnosis and treatment of male infertility patients,and HPV geno-typing should be performed in high-risk groups if necessary.
