Objective To investigate the effects of the melanoma highly expressed competing endogenous long non-coding RNA(lncRNA-MHENCR)on the proliferation,migration,and apop-tosis of clear cell renal cell carcinoma(ccRCC)786-O and Caki-1.Methods The expression and prognosis of lncRNA-MHENCR in TCGA were analyzed.The human ccRCC 786-O and Caki-1 were divided into control group and siRNA group and cultured for 72 h.The CCK8,colony formation as-say,and EDU assay were utilized to detect cell proliferation.The transwell assay was used to detect cell migration.Flow cytometry and western blot were utilized to detect apoptosis.Results ln-cRNA-MHENCR was related to poor prognosis of ccRCC.lncRNA-MHENCR knockdown could in-hibit proliferation and migration of 786-O and Caki-1.Results of flow cytometry and western blot confirmed that lncRNA-MHENCR knockdown could promote apoptosis of 786-O and Caki-1.The western blot showed that the expression of the phosphorylated protein kinase B(p-AKT)and phos-phorylated mammalian target of rapamycin(p-mTOR)increased after lncRNA-MHENCR was knocked down.Conclusions lncRNA-MHENCR could promote proliferation and migration of ccRCC cells via AKT/mTOR,and inhibit apoptosis of ccRCC cells.
