Research on the Upgrading of Japan's Semiconductor Industry
As the cornerstone of the high-tech industry, the development of the semiconductor industry is of important strategic significance to a country. After World War Ⅱ,the technological level of Japan's sem-iconductor industry improved rapidly. It once occupied the leading position in the world and robbed the existing market of the United States. As a result, the United States implemented a series of tough trade sanctions against Japan, which plunged the Japanese semiconductor industry into collapse. In order to re-spond to U.S.sanctions and achieve the upgrading goal of the semiconductor industry,Japan has reduced the negative impact of U.S.sanctions through linkage at the three levels of country, industry and enter-prises on the one hand, and on the other hand, used"three major models"including:restructuring the"industry-official-university"technology R&D model to condense innovation capabilities, adjusting the production and division of labor model to make it flexible and applicable, and strengthening the supply chain model to ensure both safety and efficiency to endogenously promote the independent and consistent development and upgrading of the semiconductor industry.Generally speaking,Japan's semiconductor in-dustry has achieved the upgrading goal from a single development model focused on the midstream to multi-end collaborative development of upstream, midstream, and downstream.
