Research on High Temperature Water Bath Aging Resistance of Special Material for Polyethylene Pipe
Three types of special material for polyethylene(PE)pipe(PEX-1,PE100,PERT-I)were used as research objects to conduct water bath aging tests at 95℃.Their thermal-oxydative aging property, thermal deformation behavior and tensile strength were studied using differential scanning calorimeter(DSC),Vicat softening temperature tester, and universal testing machine. The results show that after being aged in a water bath at 95℃ for 1 440 h,among the three samples,PERT-I has the smallest change in crystallinity(2.16%),the smallest change in oxidation induction time(OIT)(2.70%)and the smallest change in Vicat softening point temperature(0.28%),showing excellent heat and oxygen aging properties and thermal deformation properties. At the same time, the tensile strength change rate and yield strength change rate of PERT-I are 15.06%and 15.16%respectively,It can be used as an alternative material for the inner lining of high-temperature resistant PE pipes.
