A Pilot Study of Indicators Construction of Post-School Transition Curriculum Index System
The post-school transition curriculum plays a crucial role in facilitating the transition of children with disabilities from school to independent adult life.Based on the literature review,post-school transition curriculum framework encompasses five domains, namely daily life, social inclusion, education and further schooling, employment and work, and self-determination.By employing assignment analysis method,an indicator system for post-school transition curriculum was developed which comprises 36 secondary indicators and 115 tertiary indicators.A preliminary verification of this indicator system was conducted through a questionnaire survey involving the evaluation of this indicator system by 54 teachers specializing in special education at graduation grade. The results indicatethat all indicators of the post-school transition curriculum are evaluated above average. In the future,it should be further studied in the aspects of the perfection of the index test, the optimization of the curriculum and the development of the evaluation tools.
