From Naming to Renaming,Attitude to Concept,Labeling to Diversification:A Preliminary Exploration Into the Evolution of Names in China's Special Education Schools Over 150 Years
Focusing on the evolution of special education school names,the evolution process of special education school names in the past hundred years is divided into four stages:from 1874 to 1911,during the late Qing Dynasty,they were primarily influenced by western concepts of special education;from 1912 to 1949,during the period of the Republic of China,special education underwent local exploration and self-develpment;from 1949 to 1978,during the period of socialist revolution and construction,special education achieved positive progress;and from 1978 to 2012,during the reform and opening-up period,special education experienced rapid growth.In terms of de-labeling,de-formalization,diversification,and individualization,the names of China's special education schools have sought changes and embarked on a unique path of development and innovation.
