Functional communication training is an effective intervention method to promote appropriate communication responses and reduce the incidence of problem behaviors in autistic children.This paper makes a systematic review of overseas studies on the application of functional communication training in the interventions for children with autism from 2014 to 2023,analyzes and summarizes to provide reference for the related practical research in the future in China.In the future,it should pay more attention to the empirical research of functional communication training to verify the effectiveness of intervention,and to the training of intervention personnel,so as to provide timely and effective intervention services for the huge needs of autistic children.
