The Impact of Interpersonal Sensitivity on the Friendship Quality Among Hearing-Impaired College Students:The Mediating Role of Discrimination Perception
To explore the relationship between interpersonal sensitivity,discrimination perception,and friendship quality among hearing-impaired college students,and to analyze the mediating role of discrimination perception in the relationship between interpersonal sensitivity and friendship quality,a random stratified cluster sampling method was used to select 544 hearing-impaired college students from four undergraduate universities,namely Beijing Union University,Chongqing Normal University,Zhengzhou Normal University,and Leshan Normal University,as the survey subjects.The results show that interpersonal sensitivity,discrimination perception and friendship quality of hearing-impaired college students are negatively correlated,while interpersonal sensitivity and discrimination perception are positively correlated;the mediation analysis shows that discrimination perception had a mediating effect between interpersonal sensitivity and friendship quality,and the mediating effect accounted for 38.71%of the total effect.Interpersonal sensitivity can not only directly predict friendship quality of hearing-impaired college students,but also indirectly affect individual friendship quality through discrimination perception.
