Development of Booklist for Children With Disabilities:Concept,Process,Characteristics and Use Suggestions
Booklists serve the function of promoting and guiding reading.The Booklist for Children With Disabilities aims to select high-quality and suitable books for children with disabilities in China,addressing the difficulties faced by teachers and parents in choosing books,meeting the reading needs of children with disabilities,and insuring their reading rights.During the development process of the booklist,the research team has always maintained a professional,serious,and impartial attitude to advance the book selection process.The team has gone through a five-stage process of gradual focusing,selecting 900(sets)of high-quality books from over 200,000 children's books.The Booklist for Children With Disabilities is suitable for children with disabilities in preschool and compulsory education stages,covering various types,genres,themes,and difficulty levels of books,in order to meet the individual reading needs of different types of children,achieve ladder reading,and adapt to the curriculum.At the same time,the research group writes an operating guide for the use of booklist.
