Characteristics of Handwritten English Word Processing in Children With Chinese Developmental Dyslexia
In order to explore the characteristics of hand-written English word processing in children with Chinese developmental dyslexia,36 children with Chinese developmental dyslexia and 45 ordinary children were selected according to the literacy test and Raven intelligence test, and 2(category of subjects:Chinese developmental dyslexia children, ordinary children)×2(handwriting types:handwriting, printed characters)×4(priming types:similar in appearance, similar in sound, close in meaning, unrelated)was used to measure reaction time and accuracy. The results show that children with Chinese developmental dyslexia had difficulty in processing English words, and there is cross-language consistency;in the process of processing, the advantage of font is more obvious;handwriting facilitates children's recognition of English words and sounds.Based on these findings, the English word processing ability of children with Chinese developmental dyslexia should be improved by strengthening the advantage of font, strengthening handwriting training, and regular assessment and feedback.
