A Review of Foreign Research of Modified Schema-Based Instruction for Improving Mathematics Problem Solving Ability of Students With Autism Spectrum Disorders
This paper reviews 16 foreign empirical studies on improving the mathematics problem solving ability of students with autism spectrum disorder through modified schema-based instruction, and summarizes the current status and characteristics of their intervention objects, research design, intervention implementers,inter-vention environment and forms, intervention goals and contents, intervention strategies, and intervention effects. It is suggested that future research should promote the age and gender diversity of intervention subjectsand ex-pand the application limits;explore diversified research designs and optimize intervention strategies;pay atten-tion to the level of intervention objectives and improve the breadth and depth of research;construct continuous intervention system and deepen intervention effect, expecting to provide some enlightenment for the intervention practice of modified schema-based instruction in China.
