INVESTIGATION ON DEMODEX INFECTION STATUS IN STUDENTS OF LUOHE MEDICAI COLLEGE AND ITS RELATIVE FACTORS
[ Objective] To investigate the infections status of demodex mite among students of Luohe Medical College.[Methods] The 968 medical atudents were surveyed for the demodex mite infection using transparent adhesive method. Health habits of the students were investigated by questionnaire. [Results] The total infection rate was 26.8%. There was no signficant difference between male (27.1%) and female (26.5%) (P > 0.05) ; The infection rate of D.folliculorum was higher than that of D.Brevis (P< 0.05) ; The infection rate of demodex mite in students having facial sickness was 42.8%, while that was 19.3% in the normal ones (P < 0.05) ; The individual facecloth and washbasin could decrease the incidence (P < 0.05). [Conclusion] Individual hygienic hahita and the facial skin diseases (such as acne and rosacea) have direct relationship with infection of Demodex.
