Objective The study aimed to assess the levels of indoor radon concentration in Xining City.Methods Continuous radon monitors were used to monitor indoor radon concentrations in buildings of different age and structure in four districts in Xining.Results The concentration of indoor radon in Xining City ranged between 6.7-95.55 Bq/m3,with an average concentration of 31.41Bq/m3.Conclusion The average level of indoor radon concentration in Xining is lower than that the nation average.The indoor radon concentrations are higher with younger buildings,and are significantly higher in winter and spring than in summer and autumn.
