Antibacterial activity and safety evaluation of Licaofukang lotion
Objective This work was to test the inhibitory effect of Licaofukang lotion on human pathogenic bacteria and to evaluate its toxicology.Methods Antibacterial capacity test,multiple vaginal mucosa irritation test and skin allergic reaction test of Licaofukang lotion were performed.Results The inhibitory rate of Licaofukang lotion on Candida albicans were 92.31％ in 2 min,and 100％ in 5 min.In addition,its inhibitory rate on Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus all reached 100％ in 2 min.Meanwhile,the New Zealand rabbit vaginal mucosa irritation index was repeatedly examined to be 0,and the white guinea pig skin sensitization rate was 0,indicating that the lotion will not stimulate allergic reaction of skin.Conclusion Licaofukang lotion has significant inhibitory effect on C.albicans,E.coli and S.aureus with no toxicity.
