Application of ArcCheck for validation and analysis of radiation plans
Objective In order to ensure the accuracy of radiotherapy dose delivery, the clinical radiotherapy plan of radiotherapy patients was verified and analyzed. Methods 217 radiation plans from July to October had been analysed, including 76 head and neck radiation plans,82 thorax radiation plans and 59 abdomen and pelvic radiation plans.ArcCheck phantom from SunNuclear company had been used to compare the dose difference of clinical radiation plans and validation radiation plans.Gamma passing rate under dose difference and distance difference had been compared by using T test,ANOVA test had been used to compare Gamma passing rate of different tumour radiation plans. All data analysis had been completed by SPSS V27.0 from IBM company. Results There was significant difference in Gamma pass rate between the tolerated dose difference of 3%and the tolerated distance difference of 3.0mm and the tolerated dose difference of 2%and the tolerated distance difference of 2.0mm(P<0.05).At the same permissible dose difference and permissible distance difference, there was no significant difference in Gamma passing rate of different radiotherapy sites(P>0.05).Conclusion Gamma passing rate under 3%dose difference and 3mm distance difference is significantly better than 2%dose difference and 2mm distance difference.Gamma passing rate would be lower when dose difference and distance difference have been limited. There is no significant difference of Gamma passing rate between different tumour radiation plans.Gamma passing rate is not only effected by dose difference and distance difference, but also will be improved by regular quality assurance of linear accelerator and treatment planning system.
