Comparative analysis was conducted of the differences between gastrointestinal bleeding in ICD-10 and ICD-11 from multiple dimensions such as chapter changes, coding structure, disease names, and key classifications, providing reference for the promotion, use, and classification development of ICD-11.Gastrointestinal bleeding is mainly classified in Chapter 11 on digestive system diseases in ICD-10,Chapter 13 on digestive system diseases in ICD-11,and the symptoms of gastrointestinal bleeding are classified in Chapter 21 on symptoms, signs,or clinical observations that cannot be classified elsewhere.ICD-10 u-ses a shared suborder to represent the nature and clinical presentation of the disease, while ICD-11 is expressed in cluster coding form, combined with post assembly to express the etiology and nature of the disease, and extended codes to express precise ana-tomical sites. The classification of gastrointestinal bleeding in ICD-11 is more scientific, the coding is more precise, and the ex-pansion is more flexible, which is more suitable for the development of modern medicine and hospital management needs.There-fore,increasing the promotion of ICD-11 is of great significance for the development of China's health industry and international integration.
