Objective This study aims to analyze the impact of preceptorship based on the BOPPPS teaching model on the teaching effectiveness of novice nurses. Methods Thirty novice nurses from the Department of Gastroenterology of Panyu Central Hospital from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the research subjects. The novice nurses were divided into a control group and an observation group, each consisting of 15 individuals, using a numerical randomization method. The control group re-ceived conventional preceptorship teaching methods, while the observation group received preceptorship teaching methods based on the BOPPPS teaching model. The theoretical and practical scores of the nurses, preceptors'satisfaction with the nurses, and nurses'satisfaction with the preceptors were compared between the two groups. Results Nurses in the observation group a-chieved better theoretical and practical scores, and both preceptors'satisfaction with the nurses and nurses'satisfaction with the preceptors in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion The preceptorship model for novice nurses can be based on the BOPPPS teaching model, which effectively im-proves nurses'scores and teaching satisfaction, achieving satisfactory teaching effectiveness.
