An exploration of social work in the construction of a resource center for parents of children with autism from the perspective of child-friendly hospitals
As China enters the initial phase of building child-friendly cities,the role of child-friendly hospitals in explo-ration and practice is of great importance.Enhancing the service capacity of pediatric hospitals extends beyond conventional medi-cal services to encompass additional services and broaden the development horizons of child-friendly hospitals.Nanjing Children's Hospital,in step with national development initiatives,took a proactive approach.Focused on the resource service management of parents of children with autism in the Department of Child Health Care,the hospital established several key service sectors from the perspectives of service concept,operation mode,and personnel management by engaging hospital social workers in multiple various stakeholders and integrating parent resources.The hospital practiced and explored the non-clinical service model provided by its Resource Center for Parents of Children with Autism,aiming to improve the clinic experience for children,optimize the service quality,promote the healthcare environment,and foster sustainable and high-quality development.
