Effectof guided teaching method combined with reflective logs on the teaching of health assessment courses for vocational nursing students
Objective To explore the effect of guided teaching methods combined with reflective logs on the teaching of health assessment courses for vocational nursing students.Methods A total of 209 vocational nursing students who learned re-ceived health assessment course from March 2023 to March 2023 were included in this study.According to class grouping,Class 1 and Class 2 were set as the control group(n=109),and Class 3 and Class 4 as the observation group(n=109).The control group received conventional teaching and the observation group guided teaching methods combined with reflective logs.The two groups were compared in terms of theoretical knowledge and practical operation scores,learning effectiveness,recognition of the teaching mode,and satisfaction with teaching after intervention.Results The observation group achieved significantly higher theoretical exam scores and practical operation scores compared to the control group(P<0.05).The observation group scored higher than the control group in terms of mastery of learning content,ability to collect data,ability to analyze data,critical think-ing,understanding of professional ethics,cooperation ability(P<0.05).The observation group scored significantly higher on o-verall performance,as well as on deepening theoretical knowledge,increasing learning interest,helping clinical thinking,and improving practical operation ability in the teaching mode compared to the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the observa-tion group got a significantly higher score on satisfaction with teaching compared to the control group(97.25%vs.89.00%,P<0.05).Conclusion Guided teaching methods combined with reflective logs in the teaching of health assessment courses for vocational nursing students has significant value in improving student assessment scores and learning performance,enhancing student recognition of teaching models,and increasing their teaching satisfaction.
