Research on the path to enhance the competency of dual-qualified teachers in medical colleges
Objective To propose a competency model and improvement strategies for dual-qualified faculty in medical schools in order to adapt to the development of new quality productive forces in healthcare.Methods Through literature review and theoretical synthesis,combined with an understanding of the connotation of new quality productive forces,the significance and basic requirements of developing new quality productive forces in healthcare talent were summarized.Based on an analysis of the current status of the competency of dual-qualified faculty in medical schools,the necessity of improving their competency was clarified.By integrating the characteristics of new quality productive forces and utilizing a competency model,optimization strate-gies were proposed.Results It is necessary to construct a competency model for dual-qualified faculty in medical schools that in-cludes five dimensions:basic competency,special competency,professional ethics and attitudes,communication and collabora-tion skills,and continuous learning and self-development.Corresponding measures should be taken to improve their competency while integrating the characteristics of new quality productive forces.Conclusion The development of new quality productive forces in healthcare requires medical schools to construct a competency model for dual-qualified faculty that aligns with the charac-teristics of new quality productive forces and to improve their competency through reform measures.
