The hospital democratic management system is an important part of modern hospital management framework.Upholding and refining the democratic management systems, primarily through staff congresses and public disclosure of hospital affairs, helps to enhance staff enthusiasm, improve hospital management standards, and ensure the stability and development of hospitals.Currently, public hospitals face issues in democratic management, including incomplete policy guidance, insufficient attention from hospital administrators, low awareness of democratic management among staff, and imperfect supervisory mecha-nisms.These issues lead to a weakening of democratic management practices.Drawing on the practical experience of democratic management in Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital and referencing advanced practices from major hospitals in China, this study discusses the current issues and causes in the construction of democratic management systems in hospitals. To provide refer-ence for the democratic management in grassroots hospitals, this paper proposes targeted countermeasures and suggestions, such as establishing and improving the democratic management mechanism of hospitals, actively strengthening the staff congress sys-tem,exploring new avenues for democratic management, standardizing and improving supervision mechanisms, and leveraging the role of trade unions.
