Objective:To explore the role of Internet hospital in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases from the perspective of patients'needs.Method:Data from the endocrinology department of an Internet hospital independently established by a 3a hospital were collected,and Chi-square test was used to analyze the differences in online diagnosis and treatment service demands of patients with different chronic diseases.Result:The Internet hospital provides diversified medical services for different patient groups.There were significant differences in gender(x2=953.491,P＜0.001),age(x2=76.290,P＜0.001)and demand for diagnosis and treatment services(x2=401.862,P＜0.001).Conclusion:The Internet hospital can effectively meet the needs of patients with chronic diseases in the department of endocrinology,and its diagnosis and treatment service model provides a template for online diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases.The 3a hospitals should make use of the Internet hospital information hub,strengthen the linkage with community health service centers,include more chronic diseases,and make every effort to build a hierarchical diagnosis and treatment system for chronic diseases under the Internet hospital model.
